Description
Long acting analog of insulin-like growth factor 1, engineered to resist binding proteins for a much longer half-life than natural IGF-1. Studied in muscle/recovery research for activating satellite (muscle stem) cells, driving both muscle-fiber hypertrophy and hyperplasia (new fiber formation), and accelerating recovery; not FDA-approved, carries documented hypoglycemia risk and, due to its growth-signaling mechanism, a theoretical risk of promoting abnormal cell growth.
