Description

Small anti-allergic/anti-inflammatory molecule that, in limited early research (including a small human pilot study), has been studied for effects on NNMT and AMPK metabolic pathways related to insulin sensitivity and weight — proposed to work similarly in concept to 5-Amino-1MQ but via a different, less-selective mechanism. FDA-approved only as a topical paste for canker sores and an inhaled product for asthma (historically); oral capsule use for metabolic/weight purposes is an off-label, investigational use with very limited human efficacy data, not an approved indication.
