Description

Small-molecule NNMT (nicotinamide N-methyltransferase) inhibitor studied for fat-cell metabolism, energy expenditure, and the NAD+/SAM pathway. The proposed mechanism is that blocking NNMT leaves more nicotinamide available for NAD+ synthesis, which may reduce fat storage and support insulin sensitivity in adipose tissue. No published human clinical trials to date; not FDA-approved.
