Melanocortin receptor agonists studied for sexual desire and arousal specifically, for enhancing sexual desire, arousal/responsiveness, and sexual confidence, acting independently of blood-flow pathways (unlike PDE5 drugs). FDA-approved only as a specific branded product for a specific indication (premenopausal HSDD) at an approved dose; compounded versions are not covered by that approval.
